From this page, simply make a reservation online with your credit card, and our friendly receiptionists will help confirm your reservation with a local Balinese operator over the phone.
Please note that you must have whatsapp in order to arrange for an airport pickup.
We can arrange for a friendly local driver to pick you up from the airport. You can choose between a motorbike pickup (if you have just a backpack) or a private taxi.

- motorbike: 150,000 IDR (for 1 person).
- private taxi: 280,000 IDR (cost for 1 to 4 people).
- Pay online with your credit card.
- After paying, you will be taken to a confirmation page that contains the contact information of the driver. Please message the driver on whatsapp with your arrival date, arrival time, and your flight number. The driver will confirm that he has blocked out his calendar on whatsapp.
- When your flight arrives to Denpasar Airport, please message the driver again as you are waiting in line at customs to confirm the pickup. If you do not confirm the driver as you arrive at the airport, we cannot guarantee your pickup. There will be free wireless internet as you are in line at customs to get your visa on arrival.
- Once you pick up your luggage and enter the arrivals hall, there will be a massive crowd of Indonesians. Ignore them and turn left. You will see a small electronics shop. Your driver will wait for you there.
A. Unfortunately, we will not be able to arrange for an airport pickup if you do not have whatsapp. We require a way for you to contact our driver when your flight arrives in the airport.

A. No, we require a deposit in order to arrange the airport pickup.

It takes around 2 to 3 hours to hike to the summit crater, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular sunrise. After descending the volcano, the driver will drop you & your group back off at Balibbu in the afternoon.
Q. How long much hiking is involved?
A. You will be hiking up the volcano for 2 to 3 hours, and then back down.
Q. How intense is the hike?
A. Most of the time, it will be a medium intensity walk, but note that there are certain points where it will get quite steep. We highly recommend hiking boots or at minimum, sneakers.

Please remember that you are hiking the highest peak in Bali. While it isn’t Mount Everest, keep in mind that you are going to be at a high altitude, where the air is thin, and it can get quite cold. The following are not included in the price:
- hiking boots or sneakers (at a minimum)
- jacket, pants, and warm clothing
- water & snacks
- your camera
- selfie stick (but it makes you an asshole if you have one)
Most hotel receptions & private tour companies, like the Bali Trekking Tour, charge around $65 per person, but we’ve been able to curate a recommended private guide at half the price. The total cost of the trip is 250,000 IDR per person. It is broken up into two parts:
- a 50,000 IDR deposit with your credit card
- a 200,000 IDR cash payment
The 50,000 IDR credit card deposit will allow you to secure your reservation for the trek, and you can make the reservation by clicking below.

After you make your reservation, you will be redirected to a confirmation page. You must show the confirmation page to a Balibbu receptionist, who will then phone in and double-check your reservation with the tour guide.
Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be picked up at 2:30am on the morning of your trip.
The remaining 200,000 IDR balance will be paid in cash to the driver.

DUMB TOURIST TRAPS
Tourist activities in Bali generally fall into one of two categories: fun activities that will provide a lifetime of memories, and dumb stuff that tourists do.
The following list falls into the latter category. We’ll be glad to help you book them if that’s what you want to do, but you’re going to get a head shake and an eye roll if you mention it. We will think less of you if you ask us, so please don’t.

By Fast Boat (2 hours, 300,000 IDR one way or 550,000 IDR return ticket)
There are two different times for the fast boat, at 10am and 1:00pm. A private driver will pick you up from Balibbu at 7:00am for morning fastboat, another pickup at 11:00 for afternoon fastboat and drop you off at the harbor. From the harbor, you will take a fast boat to Gili Trawangan.
By Slow Boat (xxx hours, XXX IDR)
There are XXX different times for the fast boat, at XXXam and XXXam. A private driver will pick you up from Balibbu at XXX and drop you off at the harbor. From the harbor, you will take a slow boat to Gili Trawangan.
By Airplane (30 minutes, XXX IDR)
